Examinations & Tests

Assessment at CSI Girls Matric Higher Secondary School is designed to monitor academic progress, strengthen learning, and prepare students for higher levels of study. A structured evaluation system ensures that every student receives continuous academic support and feedback throughout the year.

  1. The school conducts three major Terminal Examinations during the academic year to evaluate overall understanding and performance.

    Schedule:

    • I Terminal Examination – September
    • II Terminal Examination – December
    • III Terminal Examination – April

Each exam covers the syllabus taught up to that period and helps prepare students for year-end assessments and board examinations.

Practical examinations (where applicable) are also conducted during terminal exam periods.

  2. In addition to the terminal exams, Monthly Tests are conducted from July to February to ensure continuous learning and revision.

    Purpose of Monthly Tests:

    • Reinforce lessons learned in class
    • Identify areas needing improvement
    • Build exam confidence
    • Encourage timely revision habits
    • Track academic progress

Students are expected to attend all monthly tests without fail.

  3. Promotion to the next class is based on the student’s performance throughout the entire academic year, not just final exams.

    Promotion Requirements:

    • Regular attendance (minimum 80% required)
    • Satisfactory performance in Monthly Tests
    • Consistent results in all Terminal Examinations
    • Completion of assignments, projects, and practicals
    • Discipline and overall conduct
    • Special exams or retests will NOT be conducted for absentees during terminals or monthly tests.
    • Results declared at the end of the academic year are final and cannot be reconsidered under any circumstances.
    • The promotion policy ensures fairness, accountability, and genuine academic progress for every child.
